See you tried to create an urban scene too. I like it. The color is good and the perspective draws you in. I think it looks good without people in it. More eerie and mysterious atmosphere.
Yeah I like it without the people. I really like the clouds in the background.. though I think the scene definitely needs some lights and stuff. Those are the fun part of cityscapes. Great perspective and all that. If you vary your line more the scene will have more depth (thicker lines on objects closer to the viewer, thinner lines further away.) Definitely lots of opportunities to play with texture and stuff on the street.. but yeah. Good idea, good stuff.
Urban scenes seem to be floating around more these days, or maybe I'm just noticing more. >.> You may've inspired me, too. But I look at this and see a billion things I'd change, I guess that's what a first try is all about!

The part about the lines doesn't seem too hard to change, the miracle of vectors is you can re-stroke anything. The most I want to change is those lines, and figuring out how to make a better texture on buildings. XD That's what stumps me.

Just play with techniques in photoshop and eventually you'll figure it out. Or you can apply textures from pictures of walls/buildings with an overlay layer.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
