My book! The Drowned !! Is thar! No, HERE! Bing--> www.lulu.com/spotlight/heather…
And apologies for all the madness this week. I really need to not type journals when I'm so low on sleep, or maybe my delusional self-absorbed rantings are entertaining? Uh oh, there I go again...

Scanning pencil stuff is terrible. The scanner light always seems to pick up on the flecks of reflective pencil shit and make the scan all grainy and messy. Is this a fatal error between real life implement and machine? Am I doomed to just never share pencil stuff on DA without it looking like a 2 year old vomited in photoshop? D:
And in conclusion to the fan thing below, I guess I'll just do w/e I feel like, and uh, worry about appearing like an incorrigible attention whore later.

Sleep is for the weak. I'm over it. Pardon my whining. I did get hella shit done today. And only zombie'd out around 7ish, haha. I was staring at the wall and someone's all, "Hellooo Heather? Customer?" @_@ Oops. Now on to greater things.
First, I ponder. Fandoms. Are they too much? When teetering on the edge of a great, massive fandom full of rabid, horny and disgusting teenagers who draw anime pencil scratches and horrible blob faces, is it worth it to lean in? Should I just jump on this expansive and often terrible fan train? Fan art? Fan fiction? The tshirt? Setting up my laptop to represent part of the story I like (Oh shit, I already did that)... Or is it better to admire from afar?
Would you even be INTERESTED in art from some crap you've never heard of? No I'm not talking about Dead Space, SORRY YOU HAVE TO LIVE WITH THAT OBSESSION. I'm referring in my ramblings to the long...long...long... webcomic Homestuck. SO. What I'm wondering, do I have room in my life for another? Or should I swallow this growing bead of fangirlism and just go eat an apple? Is it worth liking something to you guys if like, a billion other people like it?
Ah the philosophical preponderances of life on the internet. Sigh!
In other news, for you writer folk who are in the hizzle all up in here, go give denlm a hug and a pat on the back, for she's had a loss in the family and needs all your support whether she wants it or not, damn it. Yeah. Representin' my bizatches with hugs!
Now on to post some Objects in Space for all you reading folks. I like you guys!! Don't forget to be my tweep on twitter, too... yeah. YEAH!!

PILE ON THE WRITING INFO AND INSPO LINKS!!
I'm reading last year's nano, which I'm planning to finish, and it gives me chills with HOW GOSH DARN AWFUL it is. Thus said, back to basics, I'm reading articles on how to introduce characters properly. Here's a few just in case you're even a fraction as horrified by last year's work as I am:
1) http://landlockedscreenwriter.nwoscreenwriters.com/2013/09/4-rules-for-writing-amazing-character.html
I like this article because of the 3 H's thing, and also it reminds me I don't need to be as phobic of metaphors and descriptive speech as I am.

It's been a while, eh?
Omgerd new journal!
I think the tale of my art is best told in my lack of submissions, and not much of a journal is needed to detail things therein!! But saying hi anyways, because it's fun. Dare I do a life update? There's not much to be told. Between work and the ever-lingering obsession with star wars the old repub, life is all right. I had some minor foot surgery that's giving me trouble, but trying to keep my chin up that it'll heal some day. RIGHT?? No, I know one day I'll have two functioning feet, but it's been a long time and it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I doodle here and there, and yes YES I do have
OC Feature! + DONE! Come see.
Hey everyone, time for a new journal. For once let's be interactive. Thing stolen from Siobhan68 (https://www.deviantart.com/siobhan68). The rules are as follows: The first 5 people who comment on this journal will get a feature! I will search your gallery (or you can help me and give me a few to pick from, if your gallery is disorganized or whatevs) and pick an OC. I'll say why I picked 'em, and why I like them. Since I commented in Siobhan's journal, she gets first pic! And the same goes for you... if you comment, you make a journal with this thing, and put ME at the top. ;D

I picked Ghost, an oldy but a goody, I've always like him and had the ple
Nano going okay so far! + DONE
Yooo finished in the nick of time. The characterization is rushed and i repeat a lot of words and its just rough, but it's done. After last year's pitiful failure, it's sure neat to feel like i still got it in me, even if 'it' is self indulgent space opera.
Anywho thus said, imma finish up the chunk im on then spruce 'er upa bit and post some. I also wasted precious nano time by doodling ofc.... Might dump those here too
Anywho, woooo

... and hopefully even after that, haha. We'll see!
Anyways, first of all, I am going to use journals once again instead of da's mysterious "status" updates, becau

I normally up the contrast a little bit and play with the brightness. That said, I also sometimes colourise the picture, or overlay a parchment texture onto it. Just so it doesn't look so unfinished.
