PILE ON THE WRITING INFO AND INSPO LINKS!!
I'm reading last year's nano, which I'm planning to finish, and it gives me chills with HOW GOSH DARN AWFUL it is. Thus said, back to basics, I'm reading articles on how to introduce characters properly. Here's a few just in case you're even a fraction as horrified by last year's work as I am:

I like this article because of the 3 H's thing, and also it reminds me I don't need to be as phobic of metaphors and descriptive speech as I am.

Good examples from movies. How do I feel tho about physical description as an intro? I dunno yet. Apparently it's way common and I've gone so far beyond ever describing people physically that I feel I should take a step back and just do it. Maybe? Thoughts?

Novel intros of characters! I love these. They're just fun to read, and more relevant than script writing techniques to nano.

I think the tale of my art is best told in my lack of submissions, and not much of a journal is needed to detail things therein!! But saying hi anyways, because it's fun. Dare I do a life update? There's not much to be told. Between work and the ever-lingering obsession with star wars the old repub, life is all right. I had some minor foot surgery that's giving me trouble, but trying to keep my chin up that it'll heal some day. RIGHT?? No, I know one day I'll have two functioning feet, but it's been a long time and it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I doodle here and there, and yes YES I do have

Yooo finished in the nick of time. The characterization is rushed and i repeat a lot of words and its just rough, but it's done. After last year's pitiful failure, it's sure neat to feel like i still got it in me, even if 'it' is self indulgent space opera.
Anywho thus said, imma finish up the chunk im on then spruce 'er upa bit and post some. I also wasted precious nano time by doodling ofc.... Might dump those here too

First, I still can't submit anything. I can now upload to stash, but then I'm locked out of editing the deviation. Will I submit a bug report? Maybe. But I've been trained by many years of being ignored, especially harassment being ignored...that I probably won't. No offense to any hardworking employee(s) who read this. I don't feel like there's a point to trying. So again, keep up on my art tumblr, lunaticstart.tumblr. YEAH!

Omg thanks for these links, they're birilliant! I love character descriptions, and I hate it when people are like "never describe characters, leave it to the readers imagination." Like, I want to read descriptions, it makes it more vivid.
